The DFS R280R is a lightweight high-performance hub set designed specifically for rim brake road wheel builds.

At just 280g, it combines an AL6061 hub shell, AL7075 axle, precision bearings and an SS Ratchet system to achieve an excellent balance of low weight, stiffness and reliable performance.

LIGHTWEIGHT DUAL-ALLOY CONSTRUCTION

The AL6061 hub shell combined with an AL7075 axle provides a lightweight and rigid structure, reducing unnecessary weight while maintaining the strength required for high-performance road riding.

OPTIMIZED SPOKE GEOMETRY

The R280R is designed around an 18H front and 21H rear configuration.

The front hub uses a symmetrical spoke layout for balanced tension and consistent wheel stiffness, while the rear hub features a 2:1 spoke configuration to optimize spoke bracing and support efficient power transfer under hard pedaling.

SMOOTH & RELIABLE

Precision sealed bearings provide smooth, low-resistance rotation and reliable performance for everyday riding, training and racing.

The rear hub is available with 36T or 54T SS Ratchet options, allowing riders to choose between standard or faster engagement.
