GHOST EVO Technology

At DFS, innovation never stands still. We are proud to introduce our latest masterpiece in high-performance road rims — the GHOST EVO 50.

For road racing rims, the rules are different from mountain biking. Achieving the lightest possible weight takes a backseat to finding the perfect balance among several key performance factors: optimized mass with controlled rotational inertia, flawless dynamic balance, high stiffness for minimizing deflection, cutting-edge aerodynamic efficiency to maximize speed, and exceptional durability.

The all-new Supreme Edition DFS GHOST EVO 50 carbon road rim represents our most advanced engineering breakthrough to date, delivering a new benchmark in speed, stability, and structural integrity.

1. Advanced Single-Point Reinforcement

We specially designed the shape of the spoke hole position and developed advanced single-point reinforcement technology specifically for this rim, resulting in rims that are stronger and lighter. We've optimized spoke hole angles at 6° axial and 5° radial orientations. These precision-engineered angles effectively minimize spoke stress and maximize power transfer efficiency.

2. Next-Generation Layer-Up Structure: All-Wrapping Technology

By applying an advanced single-point reinforcement design on the spoke hole side and upgrading material composition, we have successfully reduced the overall weight of the GHOST EVO 50. On the rim bed side, a newly developed layer-up structure optimizes weight distribution, leading to a significant improvement in rotational inertia. Meanwhile, the integration of All-Wrapping Technology (AWT) into the main carbon fiber structure further enhances rim stability and stiffness. AWT preserves the continuity of the carbon fiber material, directly contributing to superior structural integrity and consistent performance.

3. Highly Strict Technical Test Methods (110J)

We applied strict UCI test conditions to test the GHOST EVO 50 carbon rim. The impact test result was an outstanding 110J. This is significantly higher than the UCI's qualified strength standard for road bicycle rims, placing this strength performance almost close to ASTM Classification Condition 4.

Beyond the core innovations mentioned above, the GHOST EVO 50 carbon rim integrates a range of advanced manufacturing techniques, including precision carbon fiber cutting, optimized mold materials, refined production processes, and a rigorous 4-hour wheelset temperature test at 80°C. These collectively establish the GHOST EVO 50 as the ultimate competition-grade product.
